The two day festival takes a fresh and vibrant look at novels, spoken word, poetry and all sorts of linguistic fun for all the family. Enjoy readings, take part in workshops, hear amazing new authors and discuss your favourite works. The Poet Laureate Andrew Motion reading some of his works, and kids author Francesca Beard taking part in the children’s storytelling sessions. Discover your poetic voice in the afternoon workshop Poetry Snaps led by poet Nick Makoha.
Please note that these workshops are very popular, and can only be booked on the day. Please arrive early to avoid disappointment. Throughout the day: Spread the Word will be offering advice and information for people interested in writing including signposts and routes for your work.
