Grace under Pressure – Poets in the City

By August 10, 2011Events

Grace under Pressure by Spread the Word is a series of three events as part of the Kings Place Festival featuring contemporary poets.

The anthology, Ten (published by Bloodaxe) is the culmination of an ambitious two year project coordinated by Spread the Word and Bernardine Evaristo to support talented Black and Asian poets. This book  truly reflects the multi-cultural make-up of contemporary Britain. The established and inspiring poet and mentor of the Ten project Michael Schmidt will set the stage for three of these exciting new talents, Rowdya Amin, Nick Makoha and Karen McCarthy Woolf.
